1998 silverado do i need to flash my ecm

I have a 98 chevy silverado with no fuel pulse all signs are pointing to the ecm. If i get a used one from a salvage yard do i need to have it flashed? And if i do is there away i can do it myself?

what do you mean. I can get one that i dont have to flash? And if so what do i look for?

You can look on ebay, find one, and send the VIN to get it flashed, or get one locally, and have the eprom flashed
