Chevy oil problems

Exclamation Chevy oil problems

I have 05 chevy silverado. Starts fine no lifter tick then when driven for 10 to 15 min the low oil pressure and lifter start ticking then if u shut it off let it sit for a sec it have no tick and its quite it again

is the oil full? do you have a scanner or mechanical oil pressure gauge? how many miles on it?

Yes did a oil change last nigjt with 10w-40 started great no problems took it for a test drive did fine then went to back up to turn around and it stated ticking and the low oil pressure light came on it has 281xxx when we hooked up the scanner it had nothing for the low oil pressure

try changing your oil pickup tube o-ring which connects into your oil pump it's probably cracked or damaged and you're not getting full oil pressure it's aerating the oil
