Default Speakers???

I own a 2008 4 door Chevy Silverado. All 4-door speakers were working perfectly, just overnight they stopped working but the pillar tweeters are still working. People are telling me the speakers are junk-no doubt they probably are but i find it hard to believe that all 4 door speakers would just stop working at the same time. Other people are telling me that it is a connection issue on the amplifier I can't find the amp (my truck has a bench seat and i know most amps are under the center console on vehicles with bucket seats).
Does anyone have any suggestions to what may be going on??

Thanks

Will, did you ever figure out what was happening? I have a 2007 Silverado and mine is doing the same thing. It does it intermittently and now my Cruise control is working the same way, intermittently.

Default Speakers dead

The same thing happened on my 04 Trailblazer. The radio amps were fine. First the front speakers went except for the tweeters working intermittantly. One in a while, the main speakers work come back on, the all four died. Turned out to be the speakers themselves / corrosion from moisture in the door panels over the years. Installed new speakers, life is good!
