Whining Noise When Under Load 2012 Silverado 5.3
My truck just started making a deep whining noise, which appears to be coming from the engine. Becomes very noticeable when under load at around 45 mph and gets louder as I continue to accelerate. Also makes the noise when I take my foot off the gas and sounds like something is whinding down. I can’t hear this noise when parked or idling while looking under the hood. Doesn’t seem to be affecting truck performance, yet... Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Hose, PS pump, pulley, alternator, etc?
