Default 2004 Aveo, Changed front brake pads~ now stuck? wth?

Hi guys, I just recently changed the front brake pads on my Aveo. Basically it was all worn out.

I pulled the wheels, and then the calipers off.
compressed the calipers in all the way,
installed the pads,
installed the calipers and wheels back on.
Pumped the breaks (there was no grip at all for a few pumps)

and once I got some grip I started the car and moved it into reverse... and I think the pads are still holding on to the rotors...?

I never had this problem in any other cars I've worked on... help?

Thanks in advance.

Also~ It's stuck in N > D4 .... and even with the lock release depressed, it will not going to reverse or park.
