2005 Chevy Aveo ran out of gas, now will not start (fuel cell filled)
I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo that I ran out of gas. I brought it home, parked it for about 2 weeks, while I was away for work and then filled it up with gas tonight. I turned the car key and heard the gas pump in the tank turn on but when I tried it again the fuel pump did not kick on. Of course, the car won't start.
So I have tried turn it on and off about 4 or 5 times for the fuel pump. I have just tried to start it like normal, only allowing for longer cranking time and I have tried it while my buddy shot "starter fluid' into the intake. It is not starting. My buddy also hit the reset button. Is there a trick to hitting the reset button or something? Maybe he did not do it right.
What else should I be doing?
