I recently purchased a DIY starter kit which instructions say that the starter wire for my car is yellow, however upon trying to install said kit I discovered that there is no yellow wire. Any ideas on what color is the real color for my starter wire??

 

Most of the information I could find on the 2008 Aveo said that the starter wire was indeed, yellow. The ignition wire however, is Pink, apparently. You might be able to ask your dealership what the correct coloring is if you purchased the vehicle from a Chevrolet dealership. (I just wouldn't suggest telling them your intentions if your vehicle is still under warranty.)

Note that the information I gathered was based on internet searches due to the fact I own a 2007. So, be wary about the wiring anyway. Good luck and sorry I couldn't tell you more.

 

I believe it is the yellow wire and its the smaller one. There are two yellows wires. If you got any ? let me know. I work for a car audio shop.
