Hey guys,

2013 Sonic has been nothing but issues since getting it. Current major issue, the vehicle will randomly drop power to, pretty much everything and then within moments turn back on like nothing happened.

The vehicle bogs down, power to the dash and radio drops out, it then will not accelerate, almost as if it's in neutral and within moments 10-15 seconds the power will come back on, accelerating is possible again and it drives normally again.

We visited a mechanic a week ago to take a look, we thought it was the alternator, but he expressed his belief that the terminals on the battery where not tight enough. After tightening them it drove correctly for about a week. Today it happened 4 times on the highway. My next thought is the fuel pump is going.

Has anyone had this issue or familiar with the situation?
