Default Aveo Door hinges hard to open-lubrication

Hi,
We have a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo LS and several of the doors are getting hard to open. Is it OK to use WD-40 to spray on the hinges, or do I need a specific item? Thanks!

According to Chevrolet, use engine oil on all hinges even the fuel door.

What you need to lube the door hinges is a grease gun and needle tip fittong. In the middle of each hinge is a small dimple, or depression. That is where you lube the hinges. Just stick the needle tip tight into the dimple and pump the handle a couple three times

I would suggest a spray can of white lithium grease...
