Chevy MyLink not working suddenly
My Sonic is only a year old with 8200 miles one it, no issues until now. I was out getting groceries and had my iPhone paired listening to music fine, just fueled up was still fine. I went in to the store and back out in about 15 minutes. I remote started my Sonic with the key fob, get in and notice the MyLink is completely blank, no visual or sound, in-fact my turn blinker sound was not working either
I am not too well versed in these kind of issues if it is something with the fuse box, or battery. Is this something that can be done from home or is this something I need to go to my dealer to have them service
Thanks for your time

I have had both vehicles in to my dealer's service department, and their answer is "That's the way the radio is programmed to work." and I believe them. In addition to the problem you describe, my radios also have these two problems:
1. When playing music from a USB Memory stick, each time the car is turned off for more than a couple of minutes, the music is reset to the second song of the first (alphabetically) album on the USB drive. This did not happen until the first software update to the radio. Before that, the radio would remember which song of which album was playing, and continue from that point.
2. Another thing happened after the first software update to my MyLink radios. The songs in the albums on my USB drive are now sorted alphabetically, rather than by track number. This is very annoying, as many albums, such as Broadway Show Albums, don't make sense unless they are played in the correct track order. Again....this started right after one of the software updates.
Conclusion. The fix is to buy a replacement radio from Crutchfield and install it in your Sonic or Spark. Then send the MyLink radio back to Chevrolet Engineering with a nasty note. Don't expect to get a rebate, so make the note really nasty.
