Hi all.. i hope someone can help me i have a Chevrolet Aveo 4 doors 2012 i think is called Sonic

i need to change stereo cause the original One66591/normal-chevrolet-aveo-4-portes.jpg is leaving me ( display is going...) the price to replace is too high so i Was thinking about an aftermarket.. didn't like the Metra dash and i already have the plastic adaptor for the 2 din. Thinking about an universal 2 din.
Nobody know what i going to lose if i change it... chimes for open door and others? steering wheel?
I asked schosche shop and they tell me i don't need on this car an interface...
Help me plz

 

I installed a double din stereo in the 2008 Silverado work truck . Bought the stereo from China from ebay . Ordered the wiring adaptor , the dash kit and the interface .

Without then interface , would have lost chimes and turn signal clicker .

As it was , lost onstar , which did not bother me since I do not subscribe to it , anyway .

Suspect your car will be similar .

thx for the reply. The strange thing is i asked to many web site and the only interface for this car is steering wheel control adapter. No other interface for this car for chimes or other thing...
And... how do you lost onstar? it would be separated From stereo.. under the driver seat in standalone...
Anyway thx for the answer i'll have a try disconnecting stereo and turn on car so i look what happen...

 

In the 2008 truck , onstar somehow was tied in with the factory radio . And the chimes and turn signal ticker . Can not say for certain about your car
