Help!!! What causes the dashlights to turn off when I turn the head or parking lights on? Can't drive after dark at the moment unless I have a flashlight. This really sucks. I check all the fuses in the car, unless there are some I don't know about. One person thinks its the relay in the switch which is in the blinker switch and if that is true, how hard is it to change out?

 

didn't turn the dimmer down/off by chance did you?

 

Check your dimmer switch, when the sunlight sensor is covered up by either a shadow or maybe an inspection sticker, or crap on the dash, it acts as if it's nighttime, and dims the lights so it's not too bright. I see this all the time at my dealership.

 

Nope, dimmer all the way up. Checked that and fuses first thing.

 

No crap on dash or stickers, nothing blocking sensor at all. When I turn headlights on even the mileage light goes off.

 

Every bulb on the outside come on when you turn on the headlights?
