Default Looking to purchase an Aveo

We are looking at purchasing a 2009 Chevy Aveo lt with 65436 miles. It is fully loaded. The guy is thinking somewhere around 7700-8300. We are going to offer 7500-7700. We are also looking at a 2008 Ford focus S 80404 miles total out the dealer is 8700. Obviously price wise the Aveo seems better. But we know nothing about Aveo's. We have owned Chevy's in the past and have always had problems with hub bearings. So we are wondering what others experience is with the Aveo's

Thank you
Jennifer

I would highly recommend the Focus over they Aveo. The Aveos have issues. The Focus is a common car that has been in production for many years. I hardly ever see any issues with the Focus and they are all over the place. I have seen/ worked on many Focus with close to 200k with very little wrong with them. I have never heard of or even seen an Aveo with 100k. They are usually falling apart by then.

aveo's before 2008 were complete crap bombs. Although in 2008 better timing belts were used, I would still stay away from them. Go with the focus

Aveo new models are different from previous models and are better than before so I will recommend you to buy an Aveo new model. On the other hand ford also good.

My wife and I have a 2010 Aveo with 72,000 miles on it. (we bought it new) Although we have had no serious problems yet, we have had problems and I am not impressed with this car. I would vote that you buy the Ford.
