Default Major Issues

I've got some major problems with my 2005 Aveo and am looking for some advice to see what i should do.

The car will not move forward or drive at all or lock into and mode. (D,2,L) but the car does move backwards in reverse. There is more than enough fluid in the transmission but this problem has recently started now that it has gotten cold out. Anyone have a similar problem to this or know if there is any adjustment in the cable itself ? as the car seems like it doesn't want to actually shift into the gear/etc.

How do you know you have enough fluid? Did you check it when idling in park or did you check it with the engine off?

You only check it when hot and while idling in park.

How many miles on the car?
