Hi my sonics vents are stuck open all of them 8 was wondering if the selection **** cable also controls the louvers on the vent and if it came off when switching it over if the louvers could get stuck open

cables haven't been used since probably the 70's
You need to inspect the air diverter actuator inside the dash. Either it's stuck, or stripped or worn out.
