Trouble starting after I put gas in it
My engine lights been on for awhile I can not afford a mechanic at the moment. I’ve taken it to multiple places to get he codes read on my OBD2 but I’m sure a fuse is blown Bc it’s never been able to read. So when I put gas in my car (2017 sonic Hatchback 55k miles) it has trouble starting up. It’s like it doesn’t want to turn on. When it does the steering is locked but the lights and radio turn on. I turn it off and on again till it finally gets going. It rumbles and shakes like turbulence on a plane for a minute or two. Once it gets going it’s been driving smooth in my opinion. What could be the cause? I’ve watched a YouTube video which almost perfect describes my issue but if that’s not it, any ideas?
stuck open purge valve is a common cause of hard start after fueling. this would also set a large evap leak dtc.
disconnect the purge hose from the manifold.....then fill up...if it starts normally you have your answer
