So…auto zone replaced my old battery with a new one due to the cells being dead. I got back home, popped the hood, hooked up the new battery, get inside turn the key to on, I got dash lights and all but when I went to turn it to start everything shut down😤 Turned the key back to the off position, turned on the lights…lights came on. Turned to start again everything shut down🤦🏾‍♂️

Now correct me if I’m wrong…but that doesn’t that mean my alternator has gone to the upper room?? Don’t think it’s my starter bcuz I didn’t get that clickety sound and if you wondering I have no idea when this alternator was replaced but it definitely looks to have been there for awhile.

By all means enlighten me

 

Could be you have a loose connection of the cables at the battery or possibly a bad cable .
