01 Suburban Air Ride / Compressor Problem
This happened a few years ago and I need to get this fixed .. Any help would be great.
I came out to start my truck one morning and it was dead. I thought maybe the battery was dying so I jumped and said to myself I would look into today. Come to find out the air compressor in the rear for the air ride was staying on all the time and draining the batter. I took it to my local shop to have it looked at. His answer to me, and I trust him, was to replace the compressor it would be about $1500, OR he could pull the fuse/relay and kill the power to it, but the ABS(i think it is) and E-Brake light will stay ON in my dash.they will work fine, but just the lights will stay on because that fuse was pulled to kill power to the compressor.
Does anyone know anything about this? Do I have to replace the compressor or can it be fixed? Does pulling the fuse do anything other than what I stated? How can I get my compressor and air ride back without breaking the bank?
Thanks!!

New compressor
I am new to a tahoe. Didn't know the first thing about air ride. Bladders on both rear shocks were blown and compressor was burned out. Dealer told me $1800 for all three just to buy the parts. I went through a company called suncore industries for the shocks and through Arnott for the compressor. I ended up having a shop change them and even with that it didn't cost me $500 for the whole project.
