02 1500 burban: I need it stronger!
I have a 02 1500 Ls suburban but my boat weighs 9,000 pounds... Is there anything I can do to make it able to tow this kind of weight?
I know I don't have a trans cooler or oil cooler which is pretty critical! but besides that is there anything I could do to make the suspension capable to handle 9500 pounds

ummm.... oh boy, you could tons of money into this but you would end up breaking things.
You truly need to get a 2500. Your 1500 will break down quick. Sorry.
The only SUV that tows better than a 2500 Suburban but has the Luxury of a 1500 is a Ford Excursion, im not a huge Ford fan but love their Excursions. They are a 2500 frame with great towing capabilities. And some nice luxury. The best are the ones with the 7.3L international (2000-2003) but they are hard to find with lowish miles.
If you dont need you suburban for long, make sure that it has the towing package, this will means it has trans cooler built into radiator, 3.73's, and a proper tow bar. Buy an external oil cooler, trans cooler, LS-1 intake, A Crane Cam, and a high flow exhaust. This should give enough power to actually get you up to speed with the trailer. Now, for suspension, buy a air bag helper kit. They air bags that get pumped up with a compressor at you control. Lt Auto Rides, and LTZ's have this built in.
Those are prob your 3 choices, 2500 suburban, upgrade what you have and hope it lasts, or find a good shape Ford Excursion with 7.3L Diesel.
