Hey all new to here,not to cars.

I am picking up a 91 4x4 Suburban.Its has 1 ton running gear full floating in the rear,any help on what axle that should be..?
Also have owned a few Burbans this one is a bit different it has a 454,cer coated headers,edelbrock intake,and of all damn things a Q Jet..
According to car fax it has lead a good life within 50 miles of where it was bought.
They guy gave a brand new set of 33x125.5x16.5..yeah 16.5..the tires are BF G's MT..new..Now i have had these on other trucks and burbans and dry pavement,mud,deep snow,etc cant be beat.A slick rain soaked road or ice and i would drive my Jeep with AT..everything we own is 4x4 and yep we are city folks for right now...Tossing around the idea of seeing what i could get from them on Craigslist and going to a 17 or 18in rim and tire,any input is great.

Nothing wrong w/ a Q-jet when it's been properly set up.

 

your right a proper working qJet is not a bad carb worked at a shop that ran SuperStock with a Barry Grant modded QJet,mines just being flaky.

Oh must correct something no 700R4 took it to work to change all fluids and it has a 400 Turbo..not a bad thing but like the idea of the OD.Trans was bright red and had no burned smell at all very happy about that.
