Hi guys,

I have a 02 Suburban that has developed a transmission problem while I was driving on the Highway. It was stuck in 3rd and not going into 4th.
Now when I take off from the lights it stays in first until I reach 20mph and jumps straight into 3rd. Its Not changing into 2nd.

The trans fluid was low and has been topped up but made no difference.
Anyone have any ideas?

 

what did the fluid look like? might be too late if it was driven with low fluid. My advice would be to drop the oil pan and take apart the filter check for metal shavings
