I have an '03 Tahoe with about 100,300 miles on it. This past month I've made several trips from Austin to Houston (160 miles)to visitfamily and about 20 minutes after I get off the highway I lose all power. If I try to restart too soon the engine shakes badly but usually after 20 minutes or so it restarts just fine. My extended warranty just ended and I don't have the money to deal with mechanics.Unfortuntely I get off the highway onto a 2 lane 60 mph road with no median and no shoulder so this really has to be fixed and soon. Has anyone had this problem before? Please help!

 

Check the fuel pressure, it sounds like it could be a faulty fuel pump.
