I have a 03 tahoe 5.3. About 3 weeks I was driving down the freeway my tahoe lost all power and it wouldn't go over 40 mph.

No check engine light was on. After a bit of research I found out my MAP sensor was bad. Easy fix 45 $ later I thought I was golden. Now it started doing the same thing.

I haven't checked to see is my MAP sensor went bad again. What would be causing it to go bad? Not sure what direction to start trouble shooting now?

 

Have you replaced the fuel filter?

 

it sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator, the engine requires more fuel as the engine increases in speed and rpms
