Mrs. Cusser just cracked the driver rear view mirror on her 2005 Yukon Denali, and after investigating I ended up gluing a $15 pre-cut replacement glass onto it.
So note that there are mirror options. This had the turn arrows, automatic dimming (we didn't know this existed), heating, and mirror positioning motors. So I'm also surprised that there are ONLY six wires !!!

Full-bore replacement of entire mirror was $250-$300 for the part, and it would need painting as well to match the other side, why we went with glue-on replacement glass from O'Reilly. Because of the autodimming feature on ours (left side only), there is a thicker plastic rim around the glass, so some of that needed cutting off with a Dremel.

Thanks Cusser, maybe being a '05 and a upgrade yours had extra options. I am still looking for a wiring diagram or for someone that has already taken a look deeper inside the mirror. I think you would agree that I don't want to tear it apart to find out first and cause unneeded damage. Thanks. *BW*
