Default '04 Tahoe Radio

Don't have a repair manual but on the back of the radio there are two elect plugs. What do the wires go to from the small plug ? ? ? Having problems with the front speakers and door chimes, not working well, rear speakers are fine. With your ear beside the front speakers a very low sound can be heard. Also the horn won't blow when using the remote to lock the doors. Removed both plugs and the connectors look ok. Thanks. *BW*

Default '04 Tahoe Radio Problems, Part II

Sorry, but I guess I'll have to get the answer to the problem alone ? Very recently both front speakers quit in normal use except for the very low sound sometimes from them. Drove to a Auto Sound Shop and explained to the installer and he looked it over and said "You simply need both front speakers replaced". They are bad. I gurantee thats all you need. I went in and selected a couple of Kenwoods from about two dozen choices and they installed them in less than one hour. Sure enough the flexible foam around the edges of the cones were almost non-existant. Why ? Never abused or wet. Maybe excess heat and humidty. Works fine now but I am thinking I need matching ones for the rear now to better balance the sound. Thanks. *BW*
