'07 Door insulation

'07 Door insulation
Hi,
I posted this (unintentionally) in the new member area. My apologies!
We just bought our 4th Suburban...a 2007 LTZ. Obviously we love these things! Our most recent Suburban was a 2003 LT fully loaded. My question to you '07 owners is this: Do you think the insulation in the doors is adequate? Our '07 allows in much more noise from surrounding traffic, stereos, voices etc. than our '03. The other thing I noticed is if you are standing outside the '07 you can almost understand the stereo word for word, even with it at a low volume. Are there others out there that have found this to be a problem, and if so what have you done about it?

I had the same problem with my 08' burb. I don't think its meant to be super quite and the insulation in the doors are adequate for GM's standards. You can do what I did and that's to sound proof the doors with Dynamat or any other audio sound deadening material. It's a bit costly but well worth it. The noise was cut more than in half and the doors seem to sound a lot more solid when you close them. Just my 2 cents!
Aloha guys!
