Default 07 DVD Q

What ways are there to override the DVD cancel on the front screen?? Someone at Best Buy who I am sure is a retard said there is a way to get the DVD system to play on the front screen with a sequence of in-car steps, like stepping on the brake while doing some other stuff..... I've always heard the only way to do this on any car is to remove the safety cable that detects if the vehicle is in drive or what not..... any input plz?

Most people on here recommend the "gm lockpick" product sold by coastaltech. It allows for front DVD playback and Nav destination input while the truck is in motion.
I plan on ordering one once my truck arrives.

anyone know if there are alternatives to the gm lockpick? its not worth $250 to unlock a few navigation controls. if theres no other more simple ways to do this, ill just leave it alone.
i dont need DVD up front or any iPod controls, i just want the nav to be unlocked while driving.

I read somewhere that it has issues with the 2009 models and also those with RSE controls.

Bought the lock pick and installed a couple days ago.
Its worth the money. And a very easy install.
