I cheaped out and got a great deal on a 07 LS for 26888... however i have a few problems with the car that need to upgrade and was hopeing that forum members will have some suggestions...

1. the ls comes with a retarded center consol.. it has no cover.. its just a big armrest with a two cup holders and a hole to throw things in.. i need something that has a cover so i can keep things in it but no have it open so people can see everything..

2. the ls has no fog lamps just two holes with cheap plasitic covers on them.. what are my options to put some lights in the holes.. i was thinkin bout some xenon.. how to i configure them to the lighting system.. on the lt is there a seperate switch to turn the fog lights on?

3. the ls has no third row seats... what are my options to put a third row of seats in the back?

 

Dont know about the seats. As far as the lights go if you can find them you can wire them up yourself without buying a switch i would just wire them in with the Driving lights and they will come on when they do and go off when you put on the highs. there is probably a better way of doing it without all the splicing but i usually take the easiest route

 

hey pashazero, what do you mean the tahoeLS doesn't come with a third row. i have a 07 tahoeLS and it has the third row seating.

 

As far as the 3rd row seats - I would not add a 3rd row unless the seat anchors and rails already there from the factory. Doing it after the fact may wind up with the 3rd row seats in the back of head if your are invovled in a collision.

Is your center console part of the seat? Can it be removed just to leave a gap between the seats? If so, I would put in a police console like they use on the Police Package Tahoe. There are several aftermarket ones (Havis Shields, Jotto Desk, etc..) that attach at the front seat floor bolts, so no holes to drill. They have console atachments (Havis Shields) that have its own locking area, armrest etc... Just an Idea

pashazero, ggod deal on your Tahoe. I have LS too. (too cheap to get LT i guess)
No third row seat, but I didn't need it. You can put original fog lights. That is what I planing to do with my Tahoe.
Here is what I found in this forum about fog lights in older post, (I just copied it):
" The part # for the fog-light assembly is 15839896 you will need two of them and they retail for $87.98 apiece.
The dash switch is part # 15096896 and it runs $60
There are also two wire harness extensions that you need for each fog-light unit (X2) part #15789984 and they go for $10 each. "

I also hate the console in the front. GM screwed up on this one. At least the could have put cover on the hole.I want to put console from LT but I wasn't able to find it in my color. Your bench seat should be split bench. 40/20/40.
I don't think GM made any othe seating option besides split bench or bucket seats on LT's and up.
By the way does your LS have side moldings on the doors? Mine doesn't. They started putting them on all Tahoes, but after certain date I found out.

 

no one has tried fixing the center counsel problem on the LS?

 

i wish the center console is so annoying.
