Default 07 Navigation Update

I'm missing a number of business establishments on my Navigation POI such as restaurants and major shopping malls (eventhough the malls have been there for as long as I could remeber.) Is there a way I could get an updated disk for my navigation system, If so could someone provide the cost and where to purchase one?

Thanks.

A

Your first two updates are free of charge provided your nav system was factory installed.

I'll assume you've already checked this, but since I made this same mistake (albeit, briefly) I thought I'd mention it. Do you have it set to the DVD geographical area you are searching?

I travel the country often and while searching and had trouble finding names, addresses until i remembered I was in another area.

I suspect that the businesses you see as POIs probably pay for the privilege of being put on the DVD.

Actually businesses don't pay for this.
Navteq uses state and city sponsored databases compilations for much of this information and normally when this information is omitted you have the government's lack of speedy dispatch to thank.

Thanks for the info. Does the street info come from gov't databases also? Since I just got my new DVD, was wondering since streets that are five years old still don't show up.

Yes, all the street information is taken from the gov't data.
One state I know of decided 9 years ago to re-number the exit's on an Interstate using new GPS technology some of the exits were 4 miles off (ie: Exit was 392, now called 396), this information update was just submitted and included on our current nav disk.
