07 passenger mirror quit working

Has anybody else had a problem with their power mirrors stop working? It will move side to side but it won't go down or up at all. I will be taking it to the dealer next week to see what they say.

Sounds like a possible faulty mirror control pad.
Make sure that you have the dealer check for the latest DDM and PDM calibrations as well before they attempt a repair.

You can hear the motor trying to push the mirror down but it won't work. I have it set where it will go down when I back up and that is how I noticed that it quit working. The driver side mirror works fine with no problems at all.

Then obviously a bad motor or drive in the passenger mirror, thanks for telling us the whole story.

I have the same issue on my 07 Tahoe, but with the driver's side... Bad drive?

sdfd504, was your dealership able to fix the issue you are having? Also what was causing the issue (if they were able to fix it for you)? Thank you for your time.

Chevrolet Customer Service,
Talked to my local dealer today they advised me that the diagnostics time they would charge me to T/S the problem would exceed the cost of a new part. Seems like it is a probably a software issue since it didn't act up until I activated the auto tilt parking assist function. Have since disabled this function & pulled the battery terminal off to reset the electronics. No help so far. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Tell them not to diagnose it , just change the part!

Normally I would bu,t I don't want to have them change it only to find out it is software or something..... I am hopeing (perhaps in vain) that there is some one on the forum that can help point me in the right direction to T/S this stupid thing. I will prob end up buying a new one & gutting the old one to see how it works anyway... So no worries.
