Default Doubt It

are you talking about the sat nav or the regular radio?

I'd just go after market... it will be less $ and most likely be easier to hook up...

I want to say no that it wont work, but you never know. Im not sure if the 01 runs on data or has an ignition cable. The 07 uses data for ignition to turn on and off and when the door opens when car is turned off, etc. The best thing u could do is get a radio from an 07 and cut the factory harness. All speaker lines and power and ground go to the radio as well as the data wire. If the 01 has data wire you can "TRY" to see if it connects, I would contact a tech to see if this will cause any problems and not mess with the bcm. I would just go with an aftermarket radio.

Arent the models up to 2005 meant for din and a half radios? And 2005 and above are made for double dins?

07 NBS is lan bus based data, 07 classic is class 2 data based. The 01 uses a 12 volt ign. wire at radio to turn on while 03 and up use data to turn radio on. 07 radio will not work on 01 vehicle. You would need to add a ecm (engine control module) and a bcm (body control module) along with all the necessary wiring conversions.
Just go aftermarket, not worh the trouble.
