Default 07 tahoe - can this subwoofer hit harder?

I currently have a sub installed but the signal is just split off from the rear speaker channels...I recently stumbled across Shawn's pinout reference here:

https://chevroletforum.com/forum/sho...ht=rear+camera

There are connections for the factory sub and center channel listed here. Does anyone know if these are always active or dependent on how the radio is programed?

LMAO,@ the post before me.
If you want to put a Sub in your burb or Taho you need to have a seperate Amp to run it otherwise your gonna Fry your existing amp that runs all your speakers now. Go to a sound Audio place and they will Direct you in the right direction

jeez simpsonracing...give me a little credit. this was a none bose system. i have replaced all the door speakers with alpine components and installed an alpine pdx-5 to push them. there is a 5th channel that is pushing my alpine 10'' sub. i have a line level converter that i have split the rear channel off to feed my sub a signal. i would really like to use the actual sub outs from the radio if they are live.

Unless you replace the radio you have it hooked up the only way you can.

why would i need to replace the radio? does anyone know if those factory sub connections from the radio are hot? or is it dependent on how the radio is programed? i would just test them but my x4 harness doesn't have the actual sub wires in them (got it from A & T auto on ebay for VSS)...i would have to add them. it would save me a ton of work if someone already knew the answer. am i just not making sense. you guys don't seem to get what i'm saying here.

I guess you are slightly misunderstanding MDTAHOE, what do you have for a radio installed? did you do a nav upgrade on it?
A little more info as to how we got to this point would be helpful.
You are right that there will be no output if it is not programmed for it. But if you did a nav upgrade to it, there should be outputs

hey VanDamme i wasnt trying to be a jerk it was just funny about the not getting any love about the post that made me laugh. As for the Nav upgrade im unsure of weather their dependant or not from my experiance with sterio installs its always better to run a seperate amp for the sub because it pulls so much power to hit that it will starve other speakers in the system if itdoesnt have its own amp i now Vehicles have subs installed in them from the factory but their very low watt subs if you really want a hadder hitting sub you can find excelent deals on Ebay its a little more money than you want to spend but its worth every penny.
