Guys,
I just finished installing HID's into my 07 Tahoe foglights. I know there has been some questions about a kit designed to replace the factory foglight bulb. The vendor I deal with recommended trying to install a 880 HID bulb into the fog light housing. To my amazement, the 880 HID bulb fit perfectly into the socket. I used a zip tie to squeeze the factory clips to apply pressure to hold it in place and it works perfectly. I tapped the factory harness with the connector for the HID ballast and BINGO...HID's in the fogs to match my headlights!! I didn't bother having my camera outside with me since I wasn't sure how the project was going to turn out, but if you guys want pics I will be more than happy to remove the foglight and show how the bulb fits into the socket. The great thing about this is there is no permanent modification to the truck. The whole project took less than an hour.

Yeah, lets some pics of the install. It sounds like the light does not lock into the light housing very well if it needs zip ties to hold it in to place, is that that right? Oh man I hope this works out cause I want to do this.

I'll get some pics up guys...sorry for the delay. I'm not going to say the zip tie is the most secure route, but I don't plan on taking my Tahoe offroad anytime soon. I dab of silicone should do the trick if you are concerned about it coming out.
