Honestly, our fogs really don't help in any situation. You can barely notice the extra light in the factory setup. Its almost as if they are more cosmetic than functional. The HID setup provides a considerable more amount of light and you can tell when they are on. If I wanted a functional fog setup, I would use a 3500K hid bulb which emits a yellow light. Hmmm...might just have to try! [sm=smiley16.gif]
I get the kits from a local guy for $130 which is a great deal IMO.

Doesn't the brighter fog lite decrease the effectiveness in a fog situation?

So if you wanted to have a functional fog lite, why make the existing one brighter? That actually reduces its effectiveness as a fog lite. Increases the "cool" factor if you run with them on all the time tho. [sm=smiley16.gif]
I thought the reason fog lites were down low and less intense was to minimize reflection off the fog. Don't know about yellow.

n77nxc --> I reallylike the setup/look!!! I've beenhoping someone would crack the HID fog lamp issue!
Could shed some light on your install. Once you plugged the light into the socket, how did you splice into the harness? Your comment in the first post kinda threw me off. I don't know if I'm making this hard on myself when it shouldn't be, but would like some assurance before tackling.

I will get some pics of the housing hopefully today. It's super easy. The headlights are way more a pain in the a$$ than the fogs.
