These new lenses are made from a Lexan composition which is formulated to resist UV damage, you may notice a slight yellowing of the clear lens but it will not happen for years.
The (nearly clear) Teflon coating that I was referring to previously is (to be more precise) to protect the outer lens surface from scratches and minor damage caused by debris and car washes.
Do not attempt to remove the coating and also do not wax or polish the headlight lens.

The coating may be barley visible when the headlights are on (as a slight cloudiness) but should be invisible during the day (lights off)

That is funny.

When I took my tahoe in after I first got it to have some trim pieces replaced I showed them the headlights. They told me that is abnormal and that they were going to order me a new light. However, they called to let me know they were able to use a high tech cleaner to get the film or whatever was on the lense off! HAHAHA, I am loving this GM experience.

Trying to get a film off that is supposed to be there! LMAO.

Unfortunately the dealers don't know everything there is to know, but we keep trying.

You also may like the appearance of the lights better without the Teflon coating just be careful not to scratch the lens, the coating is not that big of a deal, it’s kind like the coating offered for eyeglasses to help them resist scratching.

NO problem, they both have the fogged look with the lights on so he didnt get it removed like they thought, or it came back.

Take some of that wax/cleaner that you used on your headlights and see if it will take the gray Teflon coating out of a non-stick fry pan.

So you think it's still there. Well goody for me.

I guess we can disregard your earlier advice to, NOT wax or polish the lens.?
