07 Tahoe Idle Issue
Hi all! So I have an issue that I noticed about a week ago. When my truck is idling in park, it runs at 500 RPM, but it will fluctuate up and down. Not alot though, only maybe about 100 RPM either way. But what I am noticing is it does that when i am driving on a highway as well. I could be on cruise control going 60-70-80 and notice that it hesitates just a bit on the RPM either way. It is noticeable though. As if that wasn't enough, I changed the oil about 3 weeks ago and made 3 trips totaling around 1k miles. My low oil engine light came on and was practically out of oil. That has never happened; no smoking of the engine, oil pressure gauge wasn't out of the norm.

Mine idles lower than normal after a few miles but then evens out the rest of the time. Only seems to do this when its not been garaged. Curious to see what others say?
I know you don't want to hear this but there's a ton of info on this forum about the 07's and oil consumption.. Depending on your mileage it's either going to happen or not. There are ways to minimize it though if your willing to spend some money, either purchase an AFM disabler or pay someone to crack your ECM and turn it off. The other options involve major motor work.

That is somewhat similiar. It will even out at times with the RPM, but a majority of the times, i could notice the slight hesitation and minor fluctuation in the RPM. I actually just did a 140 mile trip for work and while on cruise control on 75, i could feel the slight tug/hesitation.
Thanks!
