07 tahoe remote start issues
No. Before i worked for GM I used to work for an independent shop who had an account to gm and a j tool to flash whichever module you were trying to update the software. Also if we could not update the software at the independent shop where i worked at we called a company to come do it.
There are also companies that do flashing and they come to where you are you just have to investigate on google for your area and explain your situation. It shouldnt be that much if you take the car to a gm dealer though. If i had to do it on a car i wouldnt charge more than an hour of labor for the software update, reprogram the tpms, and reprogram the remotes (the whole process took me 30 minutes).
hope this helps and i hope u get your problem fixed.

Tell your dealer to refer to document id number 1780440 on the gm global connect service information application. Which explains how to properly program the module. The document explains the next step in the process which is to copy and paste the tpm information to the new key fobs(using a tech 2) then do a tpms (tire pressure moniter sensor) learn. If that does not work then they will have to use the tech 2 to manually input the tire type information and then relearn the tire sensors
