07 Tahoe trailer plug
Does the 07 Tahoe come with the plug that fits the socket next to the factory hitch? A friend said his had one in the glove box when he bought it, but mine didn't. I'd hate to blow another $20 if the dealer owes me one...
I got one with mine but it was plastic and it said the name of the dealership I bought it from. I threw it away. I guess you could go up there and request one, but I would recomend spending the extra $20 to get a new one.
I agree with addkev. The first weekend after buying my new '07 Tahoe, I had to rent a trailer to haul some dirt and gravel -- great way to break in the new 'HOE. I didn't even think about the electrical plug on the hitch until I got to the Uhaul place. With trailer already attached and no way to hook up the lights, I was forced to buy the adapter from Uhaul. Thinking that I had just become another victim of last-minute buying decisions, I was quite surprised later when I had time to research adapters from auto parts stores and the dealer's parts counter. Most of those other places sell an adapter that converts the Tahoe's plug to either a 4-way or a 5-way. I didn't find any that had the combo 4 & 5-way like the Uhaul adapter. Besides, those others were roughly the same price as the Uhaul adapter. Now, I feel like I got a good deal on a more functional adapter.
