Default 07 Wiper blades

Whats the latest on replacement blades? I went to three local parts places in Portland, OR and none of them had blades that would fit the stock arms. Earlier postings indicate problems with non GM replacements. We need good wipers in Oregon and it would be nice to have something that costs less than $60 and is commonly available.

I went to WalMart and got the Michelin wiperblades - fit and work great. You are right that some books dont have the sizes listed but I just brought the originals into the store and matched the sizes up.

We do suggest using AC Delco for your replacement parts. They have a wide selection of blades and even replacement arms and washer fluid pumps (should you need them). They should also have most if not all of the other little replacement parts that you may need. You can search the site (www.acdelco.com) for the wipers styles that they have (Beam blade w/spoiler, beam blade w/o, performance, all season, all season plus, winter, refills, and the list goes on still). I think you will find exactly what you need through this site. If you need to you can PM me for any more information you may need.

Default wally world

put the $3 wipers on the wife's tribute (ford escape), almost a year ago, and damn if they didn't work 100x better than whatever was on it, and STILL work just fine... wal-mart brand baby! save some $!

the one thing I like to do is go 1-2" bigger (if there is room) from 'stock')

if your car is dirty it's very easy to see where the wipers hit / miss / lines.

on my old tahoe (1995) i went from 18" wipers to 20" wipers with NO problem, and was able to use much more of my windshield in the rain.

I think the tahoe's can go up maybe 1 or 2" as well, but I don't need new wipers yet, so I haven't looked...

my jeep I need to go up a good 2"... remember 2" bigger is 1" longer on each side, just like a tire

also, while your at it, Rain-X makes the best windshield stuff, and they have a wax like one for the windshield you rub on / off... makes it so you don't need wipers above 60mph... water just slides up and over. makes the side windows clear fast too. love it.

Trico Neoform, part # 16-2213 for both driver and passenger side replacement blades. Perfect fit, lasts way longer than OEM. They can be found just about anywhere, at least here in NC.

Found that if you clean your blades as religiously as the rest of the truck, the blades last a lot longer. Keeps the edge clean of the bug guts and prevents streaking.

My OEM blades lasted two years.

For what it's worth, Chevy went back to the old style "shepard's crook" style arms on the Tahoes. Not sure what year the switch was made.

I did notice that the aftermarket blades that fit, do not have the low profile of the OEMs.

I know this was asked during the spring wiper blade season but now its the fall wiper blade season...so...

The trico neoform beam blades on the front and the trico exact fit rear blade on the back is definitely the ticket. They're running rebates on both now - literally $17 for a pair of neoforms after rebate and these are definitely top of the line.

In every season windshield, wipers are an often overlooked maintenance item on your vehicle, but they’re really important when it comes to safety. Poor wipers can affect visibility in inclement weather and you don’t want to wait until you’re caught in a storm to realize your wipers need to be replaced. Fortunately, now you don’t even have to walk into an auto parts store to buy high-quality replacement wiper blades for your vehicle.

A bad set of winter wiper shield of your car can hamper you in driving. When you are driving to an important long drive suddenly you see that your car winter wiper blades are not working well or it is failed clear your car glass, and you can't drive smoothly. So you have to maintain your winter wiper blades with good quality based products.
