Default '08 Brake Pads/Rotors Choices

Time to replace the pads and rotors on our '08 Tahoe and it turns out that there are 3 choices on the ACDelco reference website; GM OEM, DuraStop Ceramics and Advantage Ceramics.

Anyone have any knowledge to share on them?

One dealer warned that the DuraStop are noisey and priced the GM OEM option more that the DuraStop which I expected to be more expensive.

The original brakes never seemed to dust so I just assumed that they were ceramic, but I have no experience with those and don't really know if that is what was on there.

What is the best option for quiet, clean and function?
We don't tow or treat the truck like anything other than it is.

I went with AC Delco Durastops all around. 4 rotors and 2 sets of pads.

I drove out to California and back without issue less than a month after installing them. They don't make any noise, and I drive with all my windows down and hatch popped.

I used the ACDelco Professional Durastop Ceramic on my 07 and have been very pleased with how quite and clean they have been...I also use the AC delco rotors.... be sure to use a torque wrench on the lug nuts to prevent wrapping of the rotor...

Thanks for the replies.
The dealer lead me to believe that the DuraStops would be noisy but I'm getting the impression that he wanted to sell the GM parts which he priced higher.

Are the oem pads ceramic?
