Default 08 burb - Adding Fog lights w/switch

We picked up a 08 burb on Friday (ya for me). I'd like to add a few things that didn't come stocked - one of them is fog lights (very thick tule fog in Central Valley, Calif.).

I like to add fog lights but i also want to replace the headlight panel switch to make it look like it came stock with it.

Is this something that's best for a pro and can this avid DIY'er do this with instructions? I'm not at all afraid to do but n don't want to do if it requires programming by GMC Cert. Mech.

Thanks.

You can order a complete kit for GM comes with 2 lights, wire harness, new headlight switch and instructions with pictures. It is very simple to install when you are done you would not even know it did not come with them from the factory. I did my truck as it is a LS model. The part number I used was #19157652 for $191.25 you need to check if it fit your truck.

augmont if you have not already, check out gmpartsdirect, they have a listing of many of the items you can add to your vehicle that are OEM, I added the factory transmission cooler and once installed you would never have known it didn't come from the factory with it....
I have the factory fog lamps already on my Tahoe, my only complaint is the cost of the replacement bulbs....they are like $20 bucks for a $2 bulb....I have only replaced them once (I did them as a pair for consistency in lighting) and have only had to replace them once in the nearly 4yrs of ownership... but still they are way pricey and hard to find...
