Default 08 LTZ 4WD Tires? 285?

Im about to buy an 08 LTZ Tahoe 4wd and am wanting to fit 285's on there. Will i need a leveling kit so it wont rub? Has anyone done this already and have any pics? Could be a big help. Trying to make a decision by tomorrow. Thanks

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Probably depends on what profile you get and wheel size.

If you are using stock 20 inch rims, 285/50/20 will fit. I amrunning BFGs 285/55/20 and have leveling kit. I'm pretty sure the 55s would rub if I didn't have the kit.

Pic below includes 1" rear spacers.

I have 285/50/20's on my '07 Tahoe and did not need a leveling kit or anything....they are pretty close to rubbing when I turn sharp but it clears easily. Hope this helps.
