Electrical problem. the radio and Console monitor will randomly shut off while driving. Mostly in the wet weather. Also it will completely not start or any electrical activity sometimes, but if i jiggle the positive cable it will then turn on. Any help would be appreciated. This is my first post here. Default cable

do you mean the Positive cable from the battery under the hood? or a wire behind the radio?

I'd guess normal battery terminal corrosion.

get a battery terminal cleaner and clean up both your terminals.

One of those things... any auto parts place.

If you mean behind the dash, that's going to be fun to troubleshoot.

the 07+ GMs use a computer signal to turn things on/off... no more simple on/off 12v+ wiring...

the 07+ use the battery while driving to power things, as the alternator does not run all the time.

so, if you lost the battery connection... maybe it would cut the radio out?

I'm guessing...?

I got tired of crud on my wife's battery terminals... I think it's grounding out somewhere. I cleaned them all up good, then spray painted all of it white.

now it doesn't get crud on it any more.

Thanks for replying. I've had it for 3 years the very first time it did it the positive cable to the battery was very loose and i couldn't tighten it so i got another battery and a new terminal now its tight as a drum. When it does it now its not the terminal that's loose its just wiggling the wire and it starts up. Doesn't seem to be corrosion. Maybe the whole positive wire is bad? The radio will go off and on and very rarely the locks will unlock when driving. No engine malfunction yet while driving but when starting there's absolutely nothing. Then wiggle the wire and boom its on. I dont want it to quit running while driving.
