I just got a new '09 Tahoe police package and would like to do any basic performance tricks, preferably non permanent. Exhaust isn't an option, so I'm thinking a basic cold air mod? Any other little tricks you guys know about?

 

Most of the CAIs might add a few ponies but at the high end of the rpm spectrum where most folks don't spend a whole lot of time. Best bang for your buck is a reprogrammed ECM. See here: http://www.blackbearperformance.com/contact.asp

1. go back to dealer
2. order a new Camaro SS
3. pickup Camaro
4. drive faster

does the police one have the 6.2L?

 

But I'd have to PAY for a Camaro...the Tahoe is FREEEE.

It's got the 5.3 in it. It's a company car...I pay a small stipend per month and that's it. Even have a gas card.
