I am about mid project with my 1988 Chevy R20 Silverado Surburban 7.2l 454
We pick it up last year off of craigslist to use as our tow vehicle for about $1400 dollars, it was loaded with very minimal rust and a decent interior and just over 100k on it. It was mostly stock but had been maintained rather well.

in the past year I've really just done minor maintenance.
Rebuilt TBI and wiring.
New Plugs and wires.
New Headliner
New ALL aluminum radiator with transmission/oil cooler, hoses fittings etc
Custom interior molding
HID dual lamps
6prong round, 4 pin, 7 blade tow light hook ups. Class IV hitch
Brake booster and electronic trailer control.

Current Projects:

Custom 12'x5'x1' baja roof rack (it's huge, I need to bolt on another set of drip
rails over the rear windows.)

Murder paint/ rhino liner - the entire roof has been stripped down and primed, still need to bondo the holes from the tiny roof rack I plan to use bed liner on the entire roof, wheel wells, interior bed and lower side panels (below door trim).

3 point safety belts in the 2nd and 3 row seating ( already has them in front)
we have 3 young boys.

LED interior lighting.

Sound System- New 3.5" dash speakers and rear 4x10's, new cd player, rear door 6.5's, 6x9's in front console, pair of 6.5's above rear hatch 2500watt 4 channel with 4g wiring. 10" orion 1200 watt sub with amp (will probably be replaced with infinity 8" subs soon).
