Default 1994 Chevy Sub Diesel

Hi all,
I am a new proud owner of a 1994 Chevy Sub 1500 with a swapped engine from Gas to a 6.5TD taken from a 1996 truck, I have few questions about it:

1. The trany seem to have been over filled with oil because when I check it COLD as per the manual it is way way above the level [see pic ], also it is leaking oil from the area between engine and trany, how do I go about making sure it has the right amount of oil?

2. on the engine block just by the injectors driver side I have a number 0137567, is this the engine number? if so how do I find more information about it?

3. Is there an easier way to access the PMD?

many thanks for your help

Welcome to the forum.

Is the oil leaking out red (tranny fluid) or black (crankcase)? Check the tranny fluid hot. If there's too much, then it might force some thru some seals.
