1994 Suburban 1500 Silverado (Good in the snow)

Sorry if this isn't the right section. I'm currently talking with a guy who wants to trade his 1994 suburban 1500 Silverado 2wd for my 86 Fiero. Both cars have there problems, but the only thing I am concerned about is how it will do in snow? I'm not talking about 5 feet of snow, and ice just some snow on the ground slight inclines, and basic driving. I know how to drive and I am assuming it won't be as bad as the fiero but I'm told to steer away by family cause it doesn't have 4x4, I think the weight and wheel base should be sufficient.
The trip I take that I need a truck for is only has 1 or 2 hills, and there fairly small probably 25% incline and I won't be making these trips with more than 2-3 inchs of snow down. Mostly pre-plowed. (This is a trip to my girlfriends so I won't risk myself but if I am up there and need to get home I would like to be able to if it gets to bad theres plenty of room and comfort to sleep inside this tank)
Let me know, thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum.
With a good set of tires and common sense driving, it should do fine. I used to drive '87 IROC-Z in the winter in snow and ice w/ performance street tires w/o any problems. It was dicey for sure but never got stuck.

Thank you, I drove my 86 Fiero with Performance tires It was very wild but I didn't get stuck. I'm just hoping this would have better grip, And I'm guessing the weight, wheel base and much better tires would do this for me. Just Second guessing myself just in case. I read alot of people don't even use 4x4 if its an option they just like to have it.

I also had a 2002 TrailBlazer 2WD w/ traction control and it got around just fine, even in deep snow. You should be fine.
Always hated it when Pontiac dropped the Fiero after '88 when it looked like they finally got it wrung out and it was a pretty decent car.

Yeah, its quite a fun and nice car and the things the community does to them is mind blowing.

Yeah, at an all-Fiero show a few years ago, I saw one that had a V8 stuffed in it. Was a Tornado or Eldorado. Bet that was a hand full, wet or dry.
