1994 Suburban dies on decel intermittently
Hey everyone. I have a 1994 K1500 Suburban. It has 245,xxx miles on the chassis and 12,000 on the engine. Once and a while it dies when I let off the throttle when I'm driving in town. The dash lights and accessories seem to stay on when it happens. All I do is turn the ignition off then back on and it always starts right up. As far as stuff I have replaced(not cause of this issue) new distributor, rotor, cap, wires, plugs, tps, iac, map sensor, fuel pressure regulator, egr valve, egr valve solenoid and evap purge solenoid. It seems to idle erratic sometimes to. I'll be sitting at a red light and the engine will act like it's going to die and the brake pedal goes soft and it will try to lurch ahead, but it hasn't died when this happens. Any help would be great!!! Thanks

When it's cold and warming up it smells very very rich. Almost smells like there is pure gas coming out of the exhaust. It seems to miss to until it gets to around 90 degrees coolant temp.

The ignition system should be fine. From what I've seen in the past, whenever there is a miss due to a spark issue the tach will jump. It stays steady. I still have 2 years of warranty on the engine so I think I'll try intake gaskets first. I can't detect a leak but maybe when the temp is just right something opens up
