Default 1994 Suburban Issues [Need Help]

Just traded my fiero for a suburban and have ran into problems already

The Main Issue is While driving the Service engine Soon lights goes on and off, at any speed or amount of throttle seems random. I don't feel any diffrence or hear any diffrence. When cruising at 65 on highway driving 3 miles it stayed off the whole time could be luck or part of it.

Issue 2: The hood won't open. Gonna ask him tomorrow about it, I pull the release thing and it doesn't do anything. Any suggestions on getting it open?

get the obd codes pulled at any vatozone, pop hood release and then go bump the hood in the middle front, should pop right up.

It is as followed:

This is what it did:

(Flash pause flash flash) Code 12
1 flash, pause 3 flash. (Flash pause flash flash flash)
3 flashes, pause 5 flashes. (Flash flash flash pause flash flash flash flash flash)
4 flashes, pause 3 flashes. (flash flash flash flash pause flash flash flash)

Anyone know what these codes stand for?

Also pulling the hood handle inside does nothing.

You have a busted handle on the hood release. The twelve is normal as it isn't running.

Same hood latch problem on my '95. Pull release, bang top of the hood until it pops up. Shoot the latch with WD40 and then brush with some body grease. Works now.
