Default 1996 suburban ls rear a/c not getting cold

Hey everybody, thanks for having me!

I have a 96 suburban ls and i was having problems with my a/c... I found what the problem was and fixed it (so i thought)... I replaced the a/c compressor, i "fixed" the ac line that had a crease/crack in it with some jb/weld and a 2nd layer of pc-11 plumbers putty (works wonders!!! Lol). Ok on a serious note, the front a/c works great now but the rear a/c won't get cold... And i can't figure out what the problem is. Someone suggested that the rear a/c has its own a/c fittings somewhere in the rear of the suv. Is their any truth to that or could someone give me an idea of what else could be the cause of that...

Thanks for your time weather you can or can't help, i really appreciate it!!!

Welcome to the forum.

There is a second evap. for the rear A/C unit so there will be lines running back to it. Not sure where it's at on yours but probably in front of the psgr side rear wheel.

If the crack you repaired w/ JB weld was leaking, you might as well be prepared to replace that line.
